Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Coast
A helicopter flying over a popular coastal shoreline abruptly started spinning out of control, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm groves as onlookers observed.
Recordings uploaded on the internet depict the chopper beginning to twirl above the beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Information
The Huntington Beach fire department said five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were injured. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
